The Family Advocacy Program of
the Department of Defense is designed to prevent and treat child and spouse abuse. Each Service maintains a central registry of reports of alleged abuse. Allegations of child sexual abuse in an out-of-home care setting must be reported within 72 hours to the Service Family Advocacy Program for inclusion in the central registry and to the DoD Assistant Secretary. Criminal prosecution is the goal of intervention in cases involving child sexual abuser in an out-of-home care setting. |
